We communicate about G20 both within and outside the nation using all instruments, starting from social media to mainstream media, both domestic and overseas.
The Communication and Informatics Ministry expands the strategy to disseminate information on Indonesia's G20 Presidency to the public until it reaches remote regions, Ministry's Public Information and Communication Director General, Usman Kansong, stated.

"We communicate about G20 both within and outside the nation using all instruments, starting from social media to mainstream media, both domestic and overseas," he noted at a webinar on Wednesday.

The ministry has prepared the official G20 website to provide information on the international forum, including to see the schedule and to register to participate in G20 events for delegations and media that will cover the events.

Since January, the ministry has unveiled the G20pedia electronic book, so that information regarding the discussion within the forum can reach the public.

The book utilizes easy-to-understand language, so that the topics brought up during Indonesia's G20 Presidency can be understood by all strata of society.

Specifically for outermost, remote, and underdeveloped regions, or 3T, the ministry has a public information dissemination team that will directly approach the public to disseminate information on Indonesia's G20 Presidency.

This public information dissemination team has been active since a long time, and it was not formed solely for the G20 international event.

The ministry, along with other institutions and ministries, deploy this team to disseminate important information, such as health protocols during the COVID-19 pandemic and vaccination.

The dissemination of information on the G20 Presidency also relates to the readiness of communication and information technology infrastructure, as the events will be held in 25 cities in Indonesia.

The ministry is currently preparing the 4G and 5G network, both for communication and exhibition purposes in locations where the G20 events are held.

Several G20 forum events will be held in a hybrid format, a mixture of face-to-face and virtual meeting, owing to the coronavirus disease pandemic.

Moreover, a telecommunication and digital exhibition will be held by Indonesia's digital company in Bali where the G20 Summit will be held.

Kansong also observed that the G20 Presidency is an opportunity to expedite infrastructure development in 3T regions, so that the people can access information, including on G20.
