We do invite developing countries because in the future, the G20 Presidency will be passed on to themThe Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs confirmed that the Second G20 Sherpa meeting, scheduled in Labuan Bajo on July 10-11, 2022, will be attended by all G20 member countries.
The Second G20 Sherpa Meeting will discuss the main themes of the Indonesian Presidency in the 2022 G20, particularly energy transition and concern for climate change.
"Those include Russia as well. Delegations attending the Second G20 Sherpa Meeting have been officially appointed by their respective country," Deputy for Coordination of International Economic Cooperation at the Coordinating Ministry for the Economic Affairs Edi Prio Pambudi stated during a virtual media briefing here, Thursday.

G20 Sherpa Meeting is a forum attended by G20 member countries to discuss issues related to energy, development, tourism, digital economy, education, labor, agriculture, trade, investment, industry, health, anti-corruption, environment, and climate change.
In addition to the 20 member countries, five invited nations -- Spain, Singapore, the Netherlands, Fiji, and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) -- had confirmed their attendance at the event, Pambudi noted.
However, several invited countries, such as Senegal, Cambodia, Rwanda, and Suriname, had uet to confirm their presence on the agenda.
"We do invite developing countries because in the future, the G20 Presidency will be passed on to them," he noted.

At the event, several international organizations that will also offer views on issues include the International Monetary Fund (IMF) that will explain the current world and financial situation and the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) that will shed light on the condition of the global food chain.
Moreover, the International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA) will also partake in discussing the issue of renewable energy. The three issues of finance, food, and energy are becoming a global concern.
Pambudi later stated that several international organizations -- the Asian Development Bank (ADB), Financial Stability Board (FSB), IMF, Islamic Development Bank (IsDB), World Health Organization (WHO), United Nations (UN), and the World Bank -- had confirmed their presence directly.
The World Trade Organization (WTO) and the International Workers' Organization (ILO) are confirmed to be attending the meeting virtually.
