The Coordinating Ministry for Maritime Affairs and Investment ensured that all infrastructure-related preparations for the G20 Summit in Bali would be completed by the end of October 2022.

"Today is exactly 49 days leading up to the H day of the G20 Summit. Our time is getting shorter. We are tasked with ensuring that so far, all development runs accordingly, and it is targeted for completion by the end of October 2022," head of the communications bureau of the Coordinating Ministry for Maritime Affairs Andreas Dipi Patria noted at a press conference accessed here on Tuesday.

As chair of the Support for the G20 Summit Event Organizer, the Coordinating Ministry for Maritime Affairs and Fisheries coordinated and prepared some infrastructures and locations at which the event would take place.

The preparations included beautification of the I Gusti Ngurah Rai Airport, the main venue at the Apurva Kempinski Hotel, Garuda Wisnu Kencana, and the Mangrove Forest Park that will be showcased to state leaders and guests.

The government will also continue to ensure preparing electric vehicle facilities, such as the vehicles to the battery charging station.

A total of 1,259 battery-based electric motor vehicles -- four-wheeled and two-wheeled -- had been prepared for both the delegations' events and operational needs during the summit.

As for hotels, the government recommended 22 hotels, with a total of 8,263 rooms, 14 of which were located in the Nusa Dua area, with a capacity of 5,795 rooms, which also provided Presidential Suite class rooms according to the needs of each country leader.

The remaining eight other recommended hotels are in Kuta, Jimbaran, Sanur, Seminyak, and Tanjung Benoa.

"So far, it is safe to say that all preparations have been completed well, but all preparations in the logistics aspects require cooperation with some stakeholders," he remarked.

The Coordinating Ministry for Maritime Affairs and Investment pursued collaboration with the Foreign Affairs Ministry, the State Secretariat Ministry, the Transportation Ministry, the State-Owned Enterprises Ministry, as well as other entities in the G20 committee.

"We are also coordinating with regional governments to prepare and perfect all procedures and preparations for the upcoming G20 Summit," Patria concluded.
