After the opening ceremony, the Ministry of Communication and Informatics, as the DEWG leader, will open a workshop to further discuss the proclaimed priority issues.

According to Permadi, Indonesia has sent invitations to 25 countries, including G20 member countries, to attend the workshop.

The DEWG is part of the Indonesian G20 Sherpa Track. This engagement working group is a form of advancement from the Digital Economy Task Force (DETC), initiated by Indonesia with other G20 countries in 2021.

The main theme to be raised in DEWG is digital transformation that will be realized in three priority issues: digital connectivity and post-pandemic recovery; digital skills and literacy; and data flow across national borders.
